Spring is a good time to explore the woods around the Foreshore- have a look in Cockshott Wood (behind the National Trust shop) Friars Crag woods and Ings Wood (just beyond Friars Crag) for some of these wild flowers.

The Project worked with children form Borrowdale, Braithwaite and Threlkeld primary schools to create a children’s guidebook for the Foreshore. Children collected ideas, took pictures, write poems and designed games. Why not download a copy and take it with you on your next visit?
