New Interpretation on the Foreshore
New information panels have been added to the foreshore. The first is an orientation map situated near the Lake Road subway and shows the extent of the foreshore . The second can be found as you enter the National Trust's land on your way to Friar's Crag and highlights the wildlife and islands on the lake.

A timeline made up of bronze plaques can also be found half way between these two panels over looking the boat jetties. They illustrate the changing history of Derwentwater over the last 1000 years.

The interpretation was designed by Chemical Design.
